A special meeting of the Huntington Beach City Council will be held today (Tuesday) at 4 p.m. to discuss “the possibility of an artistic expression of freedom and free speech mural memorializing Charlie Kirk,” the conservative activist fatally shot recently.
The item was submitted by Councilmember Chad Williams and co-sponsored by Mayor Pat Burns and Councilmember Andrew Gruel.
The recommended action is to explore the creation of such a mural and form a City Council ad hoc committee authorized to identify a location for such mural, artist(s) and artwork.
The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers, 2000 Main St.
