Murder suspect is arrested

A HUNTINGTON BEACH man was arrested Sunday for murder (Shutterstock).

Huntington Beach police have arrested a 48-year-old Huntington Beach suspect in the shooting death of a man.

According to Detective Sgt. Anthony Pham, Robert Emery was arrested and taken to the Huntington Beach City Jail on a single murder charge.

Information on the victim is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin.
On Sunday, Jan. 18 at about 11:30 p.m., the HBPD received a call reporting shots fired at a home in the 4500 block of Scenario Drive, north of Heil Drive and west of Bolsa Chica Avenue.

Arriving officers found a man with gunshot wounds. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment. The suspect was detained.

The victim later succumbed to his injuries.

Based on interviews and evidence located at the scene, Emery was arrested.
