A pedestrian was fatally injured in Huntington Beach on Saturday when struck by an automobile.
According to the HBPD, the incident took place around 9 p.m. near the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Heil Avenue. The walker, a 31-year-old Huntington Beach man died after a collision with a grey BMW 330i sedan.
The driver of the car was a 23-year-old Reseda man.
Arriving officers found the pedestrian unconscious in the roadway. Paramedics responding to the scene found him deceased at the scene.
Police say the driver of the BMW cooperated with police and impairment doesn’t seem to be a factor. The preliminary investigation indicates that the BMW was moving northbound on Beach and struck the pedestrian south of the intersection with Heil.
