National politics will turn local on Saturday when “No Kings” protests against the policies of President Donald Trump will take place in Orange County.

Protests are planned in Westminster, Santa Ana, Anaheim, Huntington Beach and Orange.

The Huntington Beach event is scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the municipal pier at Pacific Coast Highway and Main Street.

The Westminster event will take place at Asian Village Plaza 9183 Bolsa Ave. from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Other “No Kings” events take place at different times. The Anaheim event, for example (La Palma Park at La Palma Avenue and Harbor Boulevard) is set to be held from 2-5 p.m.

These demonstrations are expected to be part of an estimated 3,100 such events taking place across the United States. An unknown number are reported to be planned for Canada, France, Germany, Mexico and other nations. About 9 million people are estimated to take part.

Organizers of the event state that the event is intended to be strictly non-violent and non-confrontational.

The “flagship” of the “No Kings” demonstrations will be in St. Paul, Minnesota, where an estimated 100,000 people are expected to attend in the capitol complex.

Singer Bruce Springsteen will sing his “Streets of Minneapolis,” about the shooting deaths of two protesters by federal officers. Joan Baez will also perform.

White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson said – in a statement – “The only people who care about these Trump Derangement Therapy Sessions are the reporters who are paid to cover them.”
