THREE WOMEN were arrested after a chase in stolen vehicle

Two area police departments cooperated in the arrest of three suspects in a stolen vehicle in Cypress recently.
According to the City of Cypress’ police department, two night shift officers attempted to s
top a Mercedes automobile displaying license plates from a car reported stolen near the Home Depot store on Lincoln Avenue.
The vehicle was initially pulled over, but then sped away as officers approached.
A brief pursuit ended on a dead-end road and the Mercedes crashed through a fence behind a nearby business, disabling the vehicle.
As officers moved in, three female suspects “bailed out” and ran, trying to escape by climbing over a tall barbed wire fence. Two were quickly taken into custody, while the third tried to elude officers by hiding under a nearby truck.
With the help of the Huntington Beach Police Department’s helicopter – HB 1 – she was located and arrested.
The Mercedes was confirmed to have been stolen and all three suspects were booked into Orange County Jail on charges including possession of a stolen vehicle, felony evading and resisting arrest.
