An investigation into a boat fire involving two vessels tied together in Huntington Harbour is underway.
According to the Huntington Beach Fire Department, the blaze was reported around 1:05 p.m. Wednesday (today) at a residential dock in the 16000 block of Ardsley Circle.
Arriving firefighters found both boats involved with flames and quickly were able to bring the fire under control with help from an Orange County Sheriff’s Department Harbor Patrol boat.
Once the blaze was extinguished, HBFD’s Hazardous Materials Team placed absorbent booms in the water as a precaution against potential fuel, fluids or other runoff from the damaged vessels.
There were no injuries. This is the second boat fire in Huntington Harbour this month.
