CHRIS HEMSWORTH is Thor again. Look how short his hair is, this time.

The blockbuster holiday movie season hasn’t quite started yet, and the local stages are – mostly – dark, but there are still quite a few options for entertainment and amusement in the Garden Grove-Huntington Beach-Westminster area this weekend. Here’s a look.

Other films of note include:

• “LBJ” is a drama about the rise and presidency of Lyndon Johnson (Woody Harrelson) with a special focus on the passage of the 1964 Civil Right Act. Also starring Jennifer Jason Leigh and Bill Pullman. Rated R for strong language.
