PUBLIC ART and the proposed budget will be on the agenda for Monday’s meeting of the Huntington Beach City Council.

After the tempestuous four-plus hour meeting of two weeks ago, the Huntington Beach City Council will likely have a more tranquil evening on Monday.

Without a hot-button issue like illegal immigration on the agenda, the council will consider items such as:

The council will be meeting in study session at 4:30 p.m., followed by the regular session at 6 p.m. The panel meets in its chambers at 2000 Main St. (at Yorktown).

Week of the Employee” in Ocean View District

The Ocean View School District Board of Trustees has declared May 14-18 to be “Week of the Employee” for the K-8 school district.

The board adopted the resolution at its April 10 meeting.  The resolution applies to all employees of the OVSD including certificated (faculty, including teachers), classified (bus drivers, food service workers), administrative and other workers.
