TWELVE AREA high school sports teams are noted in CIF-SS polls this week.
A dozen local high school sports teams received recognition in the CIF-SS polls released on Friday. Two teams from the Garden Grove-Huntington Beach-Westminster area are ranked atop their divisions and three others place as high as third.
- BASEBALL
- Division 1: Huntington Beach (first).
- Division 3: Pacifica (eighth).
- Division 4: La Quinta (seventh).
- Division 7: Bolsa Grande (seventh).
- SOFTBALL
- Division 7: Westminster (third).
- BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL
- Division 1: Huntington Beach (fifth).
- Division 3: Bolsa Grande (received some votes).
- Division 4: Rancho Alamitos (fifth).
- Division 5: Garden Grove (first), Orangewood (some votes).
- BOYS’ TENNIS
- Division 3: Garden Grove (some votes).
- Division 4: Bolsa Grande (second).
- Division 5: Orange (ninth).
