TWELVE AREA high school sports teams are noted in CIF-SS polls this week.

A dozen local high school sports teams received recognition in the CIF-SS polls released on Friday. Two teams from the Garden Grove-Huntington Beach-Westminster area are ranked atop their divisions and three others place as high as third.

• Division 1: Huntington Beach (first).
• Division 3: Pacifica (eighth).
• Division 4: La Quinta (seventh).
• Division 7: Bolsa Grande (seventh).
• SOFTBALL
• Division 7: Westminster (third).
• BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL
• Division 1: Huntington Beach (fifth).
• Division 3: Bolsa Grande (received some votes).
• Division 4: Rancho Alamitos (fifth).
• Division 5: Garden Grove (first), Orangewood (some votes).
• BOYS’ TENNIS
• Division 3: Garden Grove (some votes).
• Division 4: Bolsa Grande (second).
• Division 5: Orange (ninth).
