It’s been a long, hard haul, but the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim finally did it. No, it’s nothing which will take them into the playoffs, but the Halos evened their record at 72-72 after defeating the Texas Rangers 8-1 Wednesday night in Anaheim.
Outstanding performaances were also turned in by Andrelton Simmons (3-for-3 with one run scored and one driven in) and Shohei Ohtani (2-for-3 with one walk and one run scored).
The Angels will try to move over the .500 mark on Thursday when they take on the Seattle Mariners at the Big A.
