THE WESTMINSTER City Council will consider a revised application for a housing project on Wednesday evening.

A public hearing on a proposed housing development with an “affordable density bonus” is set for Wednesday’s meeting of the Westminster City Council.

The hearing is continued from the meeting of Sept. 5 on the project planned for 13800, 13802 and 13812 Milton Ave. that would allow for the consolidation of three lots into one.

At the initial hearing, some area residents spoke against the project, arguing it would be too dense and lead to traffic and other issues.

Westminster’s city council voted to deny the request and continued the hearing to allow staff time to prepare findings supporting denial of the project. However, the developer has since revised the plan by reducing the number of units from 25 to 24 and making some changes in traffic circulation and parking.

The council meets at 7 p.m. in its chambers at 8200 Westminster Blvd.

The board will meet in closed session at 5:05 p.m., followed by a study session on facilities and updates at 5:15 p.m. and the regular session at 7 p.m.  The meeting will be held at 10331 Stanford Ave. in Garden Grove.
