Justin Bour blasted a grand slam home run in the bottom of the eighth inning Tuesday night in Anaheim, but the Yankees nevertheless won the game, 7-5.
However, the loss pushed the Halo record to 9-15, still in fifth and last place in the American League West. The Angels have lost eight of their last 10 games and are six games out of first.
The Yankees outhit the Angels 14-8. Stratton (0-2) was tagged with the loss, while Domingo German (4-1) got the win for the Yankees (13-10).
On Wednesday, Felix Pena (0-1) will start for the Orange County team, with CC Sabathia (1-0) on the mound for the Yanks.
