Fourteen local high school athletic teams received recognition through this week’s CIF-SS fall sports polls released on Monday.
Teams from schools serving Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Stanton and Westminster are named in these rankings.
Football
- Division 3: Edison (eighth).
- Division 8: Garden Grove (received votes).
- Division 10: Western (fourth), Orange (sixth).
- Division 11: Marina (seventh).
Boys water polo
- Divisions 1 and 2: Huntington Beach (sixth).
- Division 4: Pacifica (seventh).
- Division 5: Marina (eighth).
- Division 6: Garden Grove (sixth), Western (eighth).
Girls volleyball
- Division 7: Bolsa Grande (third), Garden Grove (fourth), Loara (seventh).
Cross country
- Boys Division 3: Rancho Alamitos (sixth).
- Boys Division 4: Ocean View (sixth).
