FOURTEEN local high school teams got recognition Monday from the CIF-SS (Thursday).

Fourteen local high school athletic teams received recognition through this week’s CIF-SS fall sports polls released on Monday.

Teams from schools serving Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Stanton and Westminster are named in these rankings.

Football

• Division 3: Edison (eighth).
• Division 8: Garden Grove (received votes).
• Division 10: Western (fourth), Orange (sixth).
• Division 11: Marina (seventh).

Boys water polo

• Divisions 1 and 2: Huntington Beach (sixth).
• Division 4: Pacifica (seventh).
• Division 5: Marina (eighth).
• Division 6: Garden Grove (sixth), Western (eighth).

Girls volleyball

• Division 7: Bolsa Grande (third), Garden Grove (fourth), Loara (seventh).

Cross country

• Boys Division 3: Rancho Alamitos (sixth).
• Boys Division 4: Ocean View (sixth).
