A decision on selecting a master developer for the Willowick Golf Course was postponed a week by the Garden Grove City Council Tuesday night.
The delay was attributed to a need to get more details into the proposed agreement.
Despite the postponement of a vote, a packed council chamber yielded several dozen speakers who criticized Garden Grove’s actions and called for use of the land for open space and affordable housing.
Also on Tuesday night, the council:
- approved John O’Neill (Council District 2) as the new mayor pro tempore, succeeding Stephanie Klopfenstein, and
- approved the hiring of two new community service officers and a senior program specialist within the police department in support of an expanded parking enforcement program.
