The number of daily COVID-19 positive cases reported to the Orange County Health Care Agency on Thursday is 873. That’s a slight decline from Wednesday’s total of 911.
Eleven deaths were reported, a slight decline from Wednesday’s sum of 12.
Cases hospitalized are at 711, with 245 cases now in intensive care units.
The test positivity rate – which indicates how many of those tested would likely have the infection – is at 14 percent, down from 14.1 percent the day before.
The city count for the top five cities with cases follows. Deaths are in parentheses.
- Santa Ana: 5,225 (122 deaths).
- Anaheim: 4,792 (112).
- Garden Grove: 1,437 (15).
- Huntington Beach: 1,357 (43).
- Orange: 1,284 (16).
Also, Westminster has 518 cases and 12 deaths: Stanton has 318 and four deaths.
