NEW NUMBERS on coronavirus cases and deaths today are less encouraging than this reported on Wednesday (Pexels).
After Wednesday’s encouraging numbers on new cases and deaths, Thursday’s report on coronavirus from the Orange County Health Care Agency showed a grimmer outlook. The number of new cases reported to the OCHCA is 580, compared to 65 on Wednesday. The number of new deaths is 32, compared to two on Wednesday.
The test positivity score, however, is moving in the right direction. That indicator shows what portion of those tested for coronavirus actually have the infection. Thursday’s number is at 8 percent, which is the threshold set by the state.
Here is a list of the OC cities with the most cases. Deaths are in parentheses.
- Santa Ana: 7,390 (188).
