A PEDESTRIAN was fatally injured in Garden Grove on Wednesday night (Shutterstock).

A pedestrian was fatally injured when struck by an automobile late Wednesday night in Garden Grove.

According to Traffic Investigator John Yergler of the GGPD, the incident took place in the 14300 block of Brookhurst Street (near 13th Street) and was reported to police at around 11:16 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found a man lying in the roadway, with the involved vehicle – a 2022 Toyota Sienna – parked in  nearby parking lot.

The driver – identified as a 58-year-old Santa Ana woman – remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Neither drugs or alcohol are believed to be a factor in the collision.

Orange County Fire Authority personnel responded to the scene and the pedestrian was declared deceased.
