
A 92-YEAR-OLD Fountain Valley man is dead after a collision with a car in Westminster on Tuesday afternoon (Shutterstock).
A 92-year-old Fountain Valley man was fatally injured Tuesday afternoon in Westminster when he was struck by an automobile while he was riding a bicycle.
According to Sgt. Alan Aoki of the WPD, the incident took place around 4 p.m. in the intersection of Newland Street and Bolsa Avenue.
The bicyclist was found bleeding and down in the roadway. He was breathing but unresponsive. The motorist remained at the scene and was cooperative with police.
Orange County Fire Authority personnel – along with WPD officers – attempted lifesaving measures but the cyclist was pronounced deceased.
It doesn’t appear that impairment was a factor in the incident. Anyone with information about the collision is asked to call the WPD watch commander at (714) 548-3767.
