New bar, eatery on the pier?

ARTIST’S RENDERING of the proposed new “Huntington’s” on the pier.

A lease agreement to offer a food establishment on the city pier will be considered by the Huntington Beach City Council when it meets next Tuesday.

The intention is to lease existing city property for the remodel and new construction of an eating and drinking establishment  at 21 and 22 Main Street with alcohol sales and outdoor dining.

Named “Huntington’s,” the project by Surf City Partners  LLC will include a new restaurant/bar with outdoor seating and a walk-up window.

The project will consist of two buildings: one a relocated bait-and-tackle shop with remodeled public restrooms and a new storage area; the other a 220-square foot addition to an existing building allowing for a total occupancy of 75 at the planned restaurant and bar.

The council will meet in its chamber at 2000 Main St. with   closed session at 4:30 p.m.and a regular session at 6 p.m.

  1. I feel this would advance a pleasurable experience on the pier. Plus, I feel this would also increase sales to vendors on Main St
