FIRE ON MORAN STREET in Westminster (OCFA photo).
A fire that involved two houses in Westminster on Friday night was put out by crews from the Orange County Fire Authority.
The alarm was sounded at 8:18 p.m. on a fire in the 14500 block of Moran Street near Hazard Avenue, according to the OCFA.
When Engine 66 arrived firefighters found a home engulfed in flames with “significant fire” coming from the rear of the home. At the same time, a neighboring house was beginning to ignite as well.
OCFA crews responded with a coordinated effort, attacking the main fire and keeping it from spreading further to the adjacent home. A search was conducted for victims, but none were found.
Damage in the first home was limited to less than half of the structure and the adjacent home was saved.
