President Donald Trump had bad days in court(s) on Wednesday night and Thursday.
He has suffered setbacks on a variety of fronts, according to The Associated Press.
A federal judge in New Hampshire blocked an executive order attacking diversity, equity and inclusion policies (DEI) in education across the country.
A different federal judge is preventing the enactment of proposed changes in federal elections, particularly a requirement that voters provide proof of citizenship when voting.
The Trump Administration is appealing a federal court decision in March which stopped the Defense Department’s ban on transgender people serving in the military.
War of words over Ukraine war
President Donald Trump urged Russian President Vladmir Putin to “STOP” that nation’s attack on the Ukrainian capitol of Kyiv.
“Vladimir, STOP! 5000 soldiers a week are dying. Let’s get the Peace Deal DONE!”
According to The New York Times, that demand came not through diplomatic channels but in Trump’s social media.
Trump is reportedly considering pressuring Ukraine to agree to official Russian control of Crimea, an area seized by force in 2014.
Until now, the U.S. and its Western allies have refused to recognize Moscow control of the peninsula. Ukraine has refused.
