A traffic collision in Stanton involving multiple vehicles Friday night took the life of a 55-year-old Stanton resident.
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, the crash took place around 11 p.m. at the intersection of Magnolia and Pacific avenues.
Arriving deputies found that a Dodge sedan and a Toyota van had been involved in an apparent head-on collision and striking an unoccupied parked automobile.
Pronounced dead at the scene was Hoanh Thanh Ngo, who succumbed to his injuries from the crash.
According to the OCSD, the driver of the Dodge – identified as James Anthony Deleon, 30, of Irvine – fled the scene on foot.
He was arrested shortly thereafter on suspicion of driving under the influence with a prior conviction, and was booked into Orange County Jail in Santa Ana for murder and for driving under the influence causing injury.
