SIX local players were named all-CIF Southern Section for baseball (Shutterstock).

All CIF-SS teams for baseball and boys’ lacrosse have been announced, with seven local youths honored.

In Division 1, they are Trevor Goldenetz, a senior outfielder, and Trent Grindlinger, a senior catcher, both from Huntington Beach High.

In Division 7, Rohan Ramos, a senior pitcher-first baseman, and Sebastian Vallejo, a senior, both from Garden Grove High, were honored.

In Division 8, Johnny Forte, a junior pitcher-third baseman, and Riley Rakowski, a senior second baseman, both from La Quinta High, were named.

The sole local representative on the CIF-SS boys’ lacrosse teams is Will Minter of Huntington Beach on the Division 2 squad.
