Shotgun blasts, then arrest

AN ARREST has been made of a Huntington Beach man who allegedly fired several shotgun rounds in his condo complex Shutterstock).

A man who allegedly fired several shotgun rounds inside his condominium Wednesday morning in Huntington Beach surrendered to police.

According to the HBPD, the incident began around 6:26 a.m. when reports were received of shots fired at a condominium complex near Pacific Coast Highway and Coral Cay.

Arriving officers found that a resident had fired the shots that struck several “neighboring units.” The area was contained and nearby residents were evacuated.

Pacific Coast Highway was shut down in both directions as a precaution.

At around 7:50 a.m. the suspect “peacefully” gave himself up to police without further incident. No injuries were reported and the name of the shooter was not released.
