Westminster Vice Mayor Carlos Manzo this week announced his candidacy for mayor of his city in the 2026 election.
In a statement published to social media, Manzo, wrote:
“Since my election, I have worked to ensure Westminster is financially stable, safe, and governed with integrity,” said Manzo.
“This seat is nonpartisan for a reason—residents deserve a mayor who represents everyone equally, without political division or personal agendas.”
Manzo has frequently clashed with the council majority, most recently over the controversial decision to name a Civic Center street after hardline conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
The current mayor is Chi Charlie Nguyen.
