ONE PERSON was killed when his car stuck a utility pole in Garden Grove (Shutterstock).

A motorist was fatally injured when the vehicle he was driving crashed into a utility pole in Garden Grove on Sunday morning.

According to the GGPD, the accident was reported at around 7:08 a.m The collision was in the 11200 block of Western Avenue, north of Chapman Ave.

The motorist was driving a 2003 Ford Mustang. Orange County Fire Authority personnel assessed the driver’s injuries and pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The GGPD Neighborhood Traffic Unit is handling the investigation and the cause of the crash remains under review. Anyone who witnessed the accident, has relevant information or video footage of the incident is asked to contact Investigator Lang at (714) 741-5823 or at mlang@ggcity.org.
