$6 a gallon gas at your pump?

GASOLINE PRICES in West Orange County have hit $5.99 per gallon at one station  (Pexels/Gustavo Fring).

The price of a gallon of the most expensive regular grade gasoline is approaching $6 at least one place in our West Orange County cities of Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Stanton and Westminster.

As surveyed by the gas buddy.com website, the most expensive gasoline – as of Friday – was selling for $5.99 at a Chevron (and Extra Mile market) at 10961 Beach Blvd. in Stanton.

In Garden Grove, a Shell station on Chapman Avenue was selling regular at $5.59 a gallon. In Huntington Beach, the priciest was at a Speedway Express on Edwards Street at $5.55 a gallon.
Westminster’s top price was at $5.79 at a Shell station on Westminster Boulevard.

By contrast, motorists could buy gas in Westminster as cheaply as $5.29 (Bolsa Petroleum, 8951 Bolsa Ave.), in Huntington Beach at $5.25 (Arco stations on Goldenwest Street and Beach Boulevard).

In Stanton, the low price was $5.39 at United Petroleum at 8505 Katella Ave. Garden Grove’s best bargain was $5.29 at an Arco on Euclid Street and a Sinclair on Westminster Avenue.

In our last survey of gas prices in our March 18 edition, the high prices per gallon were Stanton ($5.79), Westminster ($5.59) , Huntington Beach ($5.29) and Garden Grove ($5.19).
