Who you gonna call this weekend for entertainment? Well, there are a wide variety of choices from movies to concerts and more. Take a look at our list of the fun stuff to in the Garden Grove-Huntington Beach-Westminster area over the next few days.

TGIFMOVIES

Opening in area cinemas this week are:

  • “Ghostbusters:” This all-female remake (sequel?) stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKInnon and Leslie Jones. You know the story. Scary, slimy baddies loose in the Big Apple. Rated PG-13.
  • “The Infiltrator”: Bryan Cranston, star of “Breaking Bad,” is the lead in this film about a DEA agent going undercover into the drug cartels. Rated R.

ON STAGE

  • “Hamlet” continues at the Festival Amphitheatre on Main Street in Garden Grove Friday through Saturday at 8 p.m.
  • “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” continues this weekend at the Rose Center Theater at 14140 All All-American Way. Shows are Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., Sunday at 2 p.m.
  • “Sonnets, Songs & …” is a vaudeville-style show based on the works of The Bards. Sunday at 7 p.m. in the Festival Amphitheatre on Main Street in Garden Grove.

MUSIC

  • Flashback Heart Attack, playing new wave rock, will be performing a free concert Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in Eastgate Park in Garden Grove.
  • Yari More Latin Band will perform a free concert of salsa, molero, cumbia, etc. music at the Huntington Beach Central Park (Goldenwest Street at Talbert Avenue) on Sunday at 5 p.m.
