ANAHEIM DUCKS face the Nashville Predators Wednesday.

ANAHEIM DUCKS face the Nashville Predators Wednesday.

Hoping to square their record, the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday will host the Nashville Predators at Honda Center. The Ducks are 2-3-2 after their 2-1 overtime loss on Tuesday to the San Jose Sharks.

Anaheim’s six points have the team tied for fifth in the NHL Pacific Division with the Los Angeles Kings (3-3).

On Tuesday, the lone Duck score came on a tally by Chris Wagner at the 17:49 mark of the second period to tie the game at 1-all. After a scoreless third period, the Sharks won it on their home ice on Marc-Edouard’s breakaway at 1:24 of extra time.

The Ducks played about half the game without center Ryan Getzlaf, who was taken out of the game after being hit in the arm with a flying puck.

John Gibson had 24 saves in goal for Anaheim.

After Wednesday’s game with the Preds, the Ducks will host the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday, and then visit the Kings at Staple Center next Tuesday.
