DOLLYWOOD, the theme park started by country singer and actress Dolly Parton, is close to the wildfires which have killed three people and destroyed hundreds of home in Tennessee (Dollyland photo).

Wildfires in Tennessee have destroyed or damaged hundreds of people in the Gatlinburg area and taken three lives. High winds have added to the problem, and overwhelmed local firefighters, and National Guard soldiers have been rushed to the scene to help fight the flames, which are close to the Dollywood theme park.

TRUMP CALLS FOR BAN ON FLAG-BURNING

President-elect Donald Trump announced via Twitter Tuesday that he supported laws which would criminalize the burning of the U.S. flag with possible penalties of a year in jail or the loss of citizenship.

75 DEAD WHEN SOCCER TEAM’S PLANE CRASHES

All but six of the people aboard a jet plane perished when it crashed in Columbia. On board were members of the Brazilian soccer team Chapocoense. The chartered flight was traveling from Bolivia to play in a major South American tournament.
