A three-car crash on the Garden Grove Freeway early Sunday morning sent two people to the hospital, according to the Garden Grove Fire Department.
The incident occurred in the eastbound lanes of the freeway west of Euclid Street shortly after 3 a.m. Arriving firefighters found two of the automobiles ablaze. They used the “jaws of life” to get two adult passengers out of the third wrecked car. They were treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to a nearby trauma center.
The drivers in the cars on fire had managed to extricate themselves and said they didn’t need medical aid.
Assistance in the incident was provided by the Orange County Fire Authority.
