It’s a week of swearings-in, as local city councils seat new and re-elected city officials.

On Monday at 6 p.m., the Huntington Beach City Council will convene to not only seat two new members, but also select a new mayor.

Re-elected to another four-year term was Jill Hardy. New council members are Patrick Brendan and Lyn Semeta. Also to be sworn in will be City Clerk Robin Estanislau and City Treasurer Alisa Cutchen. The council meets in its chambers at Huntington Beach City Hall, 2000 Main St. (at Yorktown Avenue).

On Tuesday, Garden Grove’s newly-expanded City Council will convene at 6:30 p.m. Four new council members will be seated on the new panel, whose members – except for the mayor – were elected by district. Stephanie Klopfenstein, Kim Nguyen, Thu-Ha (Diedre) Nguyen and John O’Neill will be the new council members, and Steve Jones the new mayor. The council will meet in the A&B rooms of the Community Meeting Center, 11300 Stanford Ave. (at Euclid Street).

On Wednesday, the Westminster City Council, Mayor Tri Ta and Councilman Sergio Contreras will be sworn in for new terms, and Kimberly Ho seated on the council for the first time in a meeting set to begin at 7 p.m.

The council meets in its chambers at 8200 Westminster Blvd., west of Beach Boulevard.
