It was a bit of a one-man show Tuesday for the Anaheim Ducks in Montreal, and the host Canadiens shut it down pretty quick.

Andrew Cogliano gave the Ducks an early 1-0 lead and reached a milestone by having played in his 738 consecutive games, fifth on the all-time list.

“I’ve been very fortunate, obviously, but I take pride in how I approach the game in the offseason and surrounding myself with good people and that has helped,” Cogliano said to the Associated Press.

But that all fell into the background as the Habs scored the next five goals to post a 5-1 victory. The loss put the Ducks’ record at 17-12-5, and dropped them into a second-place tie with the Edmonton Oilers in the NHL Pacific.

Next up for the Ducks will be another road game, this one on Thursday against the Ottawa Senators (19-11-3)
