UPDATE: The pedestrian in Thursday’s accident in Garden Grove died of his injuries late Friday night. According to the Orange County Coroner’s office, Duc Thai, 51, of Garden Grove, was pronounced dead at 9:21 p.m. at UCI Medical Center in Orange.
A pedestrian was in critical condition Thursday night after being struck by an automobile in Garden Grove. The incident occurred around 7:04 p.m. in the 9800 block of Trask Avenue, west of Brookhurst Street.
According to the GGPD, the person – who was not otherwise identified – was taken to a local hospital. Witnesses to the accident are asked to call the GGPD at (714) 741-5704.
SENIORS IN PAJAMAS
The H. Louis Lake Senior Center in Garden Grove will host a “PJ Party” on Thursday, Jan. 19, starting at 10 a.m. at the Senior Center Dining Room, located at 11300 Stanford Ave.

RACING AT THE MALL
Westminster Mall will host the Orange Frontier District Boy Scouts’ Pinewood Derby on Saturday, Jan. 28. The Scouts will use only five ounces of pinewood and four nails in their gravity-propelled cars.
The event will be held at the Macy’s Court on the lower level. The Mall is on Bolsa Avenue at Goldenwest Street in Westminster, near the San Diego Freeway.
The Pinewood Derby dates back to 1953 and since its inception, close to 100 million cars have been built.
MIX WITH INTEGRITY
