A search is underway for a suspect in an armed robbery that took place Wednesday night in Garden Grove. Police say the incident occurred at a store in the 13500 block of Euclid Street around 9:50 p.m.
According to the clerk, a man wearing a dark grey hooded sweatshirt, dark grey pants and wearing a light blue surgical mask on his face showed a handgun from his pocket and demanded money. The clerk handed over cash from the register.
The suspect then fled on foot southbound on Euclid Street. Police say a search of the area turned up a piece of evidence, which is being processed through a crime scene investigation.
The suspect is described as a male black, possibly over 30 years old, standing 6-feet tall and weighing about 220 lbs.
