A presentation on the Vietnamese Dual Language program will highlight Thursday’s meeting of the Westminster School District Board of Trustees on Thursday night.
The WSD, a K-8 district serving most of Westminster and portions of Garden Grove and Huntington Beach, is pioneering an immersion curriculum for students to learn in both English and Vietnamese and reach proficiency in both.
The meeting will take place in the board room of the WSD District Office, 14121 Cedarwood Ave., Westminster, with the public session starting at 7 p.m.
HIGH SCHOOL BOARD TO MEET
The Huntington Beach Union High School District Board of Trustees will meet Tuesday night in the district office at 5832 Bolsa Ave., Huntington Beach. The public session will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Topping the agenda will be a presentation by Huntington Beach High principal Daniel Morris, who will give speak on the strategies used to enhance student learning at HBHS.
Also, Gen Naydo, director of educational technology and information services, and Chris Long, technology coordinator, will present information on how educational technology is being used in the district.
The HBUHSD serves Huntington Beach and parts of Westminster, Fountain Valley and Garden Grove.
