HUNTINGTON BEACH High ‘s girls’ basketball team plays in the CIF-SS Division 1-A finals on Friday at Azusa Pacific University.

Huntington Beach High lost one chance for a CIF-SS title, but still has a chance at another this week.

The Oiler girls’ soccer team dropped its Division 1 semifinal match on Tuesday 2-1 to JSerra to finish the season with a 20-7-4 record. Cina Wilson scored the lone HBHS goal late in the game.

Goalie Rachel Harris shut out the Lions in the first half, but yielded a pair in the second.

On the other hand, the Oiler girls’ basketball team will get a chance to take home a section title when it faces Bishop Montgomery at 5 p.m. on Friday at Azusa Pacific University in the 1-A final.
