After four straight wins, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have slumped with three straight losses. On Friday they opened a three-game series with the Kansas City Royals in Anaheim with a 7-1 loss.
The defeat dropped the team record to 6-5 and second place in the American League West.
The Angels managed just four hits in the game and no Halo had more than one. Starting pitcher J.C. Ramirez (2-1) was touched for four hits and five earned runs in the loss.
Danny Duffy (2-0) shone for the visitors, working seven innings and giving up just three hits and one run. He struck out six batters and walked two.
The series continues on Saturday with Matt Shoemaker (0-0) making the start for the Angels against Nathan Karns (0-0) for the Royals.
