Fight at Marina sends boy to hospital

HUNTINGTON BEACH police are investigating an incident Friday at Marina High School in which a student suffered serious injuries in a fight.

Police and school officials are investigating an incident Friday at Marina High School which resulted in one student being hospitalized and another arrested.

According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, a fight between two students led to one of them sustaining sufficient injuries to be hospitalized. He was listed Sunday in stable condition.

The other student reported himself to administrators at Marina. He was arrested for battery with serious bodily injury, and then released to the custody of his parents.

The HBPD, along with the Huntington Beach Union High School District, is conducting an inquiry into the incident, and anyone who has information about it is asked to call police at (714) 960-8811.
