It’s been a bit of a climb but the Los Angeles Angels are back to .500 thanks to a four-game winning streak capped by a 2-1 victory over the Oakland A’s Thursday night in Anaheim.
Ricky Nolasco (2-2) worked 5.2 innings and allowed only one run in three hits. He struck out four batters and walked two. The two Angel runs were knocked in by Albert Pujols and C.J. Cron as the team squared its record at 12-12.
The Angels remain in second place in the American League West, three games back of the Houston Astros (14-8). Having finished a 5-2 home stand, the Halos hit the road Friday to start a three-game series against the Texas Rangers.
