LA QUINTA HIGH’S baseball team tightened the Garden Grove League baseball race with a win over Garden Grove High Tuesday,

La Quinta High’s baseball team tightened the Garden Grove League baseball race Tuesday with a 5-4 win over Garden Grove High. The Aztecs are now within a game of the league-leading Argonauts and will face them Friday at the Grove diamond.

Garden Grove is 11-3 in league and 16-7 overall, while La Quinta is 10-4 and 14-11.

In Golden West League action Tuesday, Segerstrom edged Ocean View 2-1 to grab the league title. The Jaguars are 12-2 in league with one game left to play; Ocean View and Loara are 10-4 in second place.
