7 Leaves Café of Garden Grove has been honored as the 2017 Family Owned Business of the Year by the Santa Ana District Office of the federal Small Business Administration.

The café, with seven locations across Orange County, was founded by four Nguyen brothers – Sonny, Quang, Ha, Vinh – and other family members (Mai Ly, Denny Ly, Triet Ho and Viet Do) in 2012. It specializes in artisan gourmet teas, coffees and pastries with an Asian spin.

7 Leaves had over 350 employees and locations in Garden Grove, Westminster, Cypress, Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley. Lisa Kim, the community and economic development director for the City of Garden Grove, nominated it for the award.

The business and the Nguyen brothers will be recognized at an event on June 9 at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim.
