A MAN WAS arrested early Sunday morning in Garden Grove in connection with an assault on a woman.

A man was arrested early Sunday morning in Garden Grove in an assault on a woman. According to Lt. Chris Lawton of the GGPD, the incident was reported at 5:15 a.m. in the 13400 block of Balos Drive, which is east of Beach Boulevard and north of Trask Avenue.

Arriving officers found the woman lying in the street. She was taken to a local hospital with what were described as “significant injuries” believed to be related to the assault. The victim was identified only as a woman in her 60s.

The suspect arrested at the scene was a male in his 30s. The investigation is ongoing, according to GGPD.
