TWO LOCAL high school teams are atop CIF-SS polls released on Monday.

Two local high school sports teams are ranked number one in their divisions, according to CIF-SS polls released on Monday.

Garden Grove High’s basketball team (24-1) is rated atop Division 5AAA, while the Pacifica girls’ soccer team (15-3-3) is ranked first in Division 3. Overall, 16 teams serving the Garden Grove-Huntington Beach-Westminster area were recognized this week as the regular season for winter sports winds up.

Here are the local teams ranked, by sport:

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

• Division 1: Edison, 22nd
• Division 3-AA: Ocean View, fourth
• Division 3-A: Marina, 12th
• Division 4-AA: Pacifica ninth, Santiago 11th and Westminster 13th.
• Division 5-AAAA: Garden Grove, first; La Quinta ninth, Orange 13th.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

• Division 1: Orangewood Academy, tied for 21st
• Division 7: Los Amigos, fourth

GIRLS’ WATER POLO

• Division 1: Huntington Beach, 14th
• Division 7: Los Amigos, fourth

BOYS’ SOCCER

• Division 1: Edison, seventh
• Division 4: Garden Grove, third

GIRLS’ SOCCER

• Division 3: Pacifica, first
• Division 6: Garden Grove, second.
