They are Dylan Mack, 18, of Las Vegas and Brooke Hawley, 17, also of Las Vegas. The third person, identified only as a male, has not been positively identified.
The crash occurred shortly after 1 a.m. in the area of Pacific Coast Highway and Magnolia Street. According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, a Hyundai Sonata struck a stopped Toyota at the intersection of PCH and Magnolia.
Three persons were killed, although initially – because of the severe damage to the Toyota, and a resulting fire – the number of fatalities was unknown.
The driver of the Hyundai, a 27-year-old woman, was arrested and booked on a charge of suspicion of driving under the influence.
