Two men are dead in Garden Grove after what police believe may have been a murder-suicide. According to Sgt. Ray Bex of the GGPD’s Crimes Against Persons Division, officers were summoned at 2:24 a.m. Sunday to a home in the 12800 block of Otis Avenue (southwest of Chapman Avenue and Haster Street) regarding a shooting.
Arriving police found the bodies of a 66-year-old man and an 85-year-old man. Homicide detectives determined that the victim was the suspect’s stepson. He had been suffering from “a long term illness” and the stepfather had health issues as well.
The names of the two are being withheld pending notification of family. The investigation is continuing.
