Two are arrested for armed robbery

TWO SUSPECTS were arrested early Monday morning after an armed robbery in Garden Grove.

Two armed robbery suspects were arrested early Monday morning after a car chase from Garden Grove into Los Angeles County.

According to Sgt. Juan Centeno of the GGPD, the incident began shortly before 12:30 a.m. when a victim called police to report he had just been robbed at gunpoint at 13822 Harbor Blvd., north of Westminster Avenue.

Officers spotted the suspect’s vehicle as it was leaving the scene. They attempted to stop it, but it raced onto the westbound Garden Grove (22) Freeway and then moved to the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway.

The pursuit continued into Los Angeles County with the help of the California Highway Patrol until the vehicle stopped and the suspects were taken into custody after a brief foot chase.

Arrested were Mondher Arredondo, 33, and Angellia Lopez, 24.
