Seahawks soar past the Lobos, 41-7

OCEAN VIEW defeated Los Amigos 41-7 Thursday night in a non-league contest.

Ocean View High’s football team opened its 2018 season on Thursday with a 41-7 win over Los Amigos at Garden Grove High’s Monsoor Stadium.

The Seahawks, who are ranked number sixth in the CIF-SS Division 11 this week, got a standout performance by the combination of quarterback Noah Hickman and receiver Naeco Logan, who connected for three touchdown passes.

Logan also had an interception for the Hawks.

The lone Lobo score was a 2-yard run by Brian Pacheco that followed an 89-yard Lobo drive.

Ocean View (1-0) will host Vasquez High of Acton, California, on Aug. 31. Los Amigos (1-1) will take a week off, then get back on the field on Thursday, Sept. 6 to host Saddleback at GGHS.
